10th Optoelectronic Expo to open in Wuhan

About 300 companies and more than 2,500 domestic and foreign experts , scholars and business people are expected to take part in the 10th China Optical Valley International Optoelectronic Exposition and the ninth China Hubei Industry-University-Research Institute Cooperation Project Fair, which will be held at the Wuhan Science and Technology Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov 2 to 5.

The venue, with an area of 30,000 square meters, will be divided into four sections, and will include a laser show, an optical exhibition, home digital industry chain exhibitions, 3D printers, optical communication, optoelectronics, infrared booths and cloud computing.

Both domestic and foreign companies are expected to display their products featuring the latest 3D printing technology.

According to the organizers, who spoke to reporters at a news conference on Oct 21, the event will be the largest exhibition of 3D printing ever held in central China, and world-famous companies, such as Renishaw, Micro3Dand SLM Corporation, will take part.

The expo will also display the products of some world-renowned industrial giants of laser and optical fields, such as Rofin, PI USA and Ocean Optics.

This year's expo will also include China’s first international home digital exhibition, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Digital Home Industry and Application Promotion Center, Ran Hao, said at the press conference that it will be the country's only family-themed exhibition which combines the whole industrial chain and application fields.

Domestic companies, including Skyworth, Hisense, Haier, TCL, Changhong and Konka, will showcase their products.
