A large recruitment activity held in Xiangyang, Hubei province, on Sept 29, attracted more than 18,000 college graduates.

More than 18,000 graduates from about 50 domestic universities and colleges took part in a large recruitment activity with the name "Longzhong Plan, Pioneering and talents" which was held in Xiangyang city, in Central China's Hubei province, on Sept 29.

A total of 512 enterprises in Xiangyang participated in the initiative with the aim of finding new employees.

The enterprises offered about 13,800 job opportunities, including 7,800 which were aimed at college graduates.

During the activity, 927 job hunters signed employment contracts, and more than 5,200 people reached some sort of agreements for work with various enterprises.

The vacancies cover areas such as manufacturing of automobiles and auto parts, precision equipment, as well as new technologies and new materials, modern agriculture, electronics and metallurgical smelting.

Xiangyang has eight listed companies and 19 foreign Fortune 500 Companies, which can offer good opportunities for college graduates.
