Hongan tourism projects move forward at fast pace

Ambitious tourism projects are considered to be a growth engine for tourism, and several new cultural tourism projects in Hongan county, Hubei province, have been completed this year, or are expected to be completed in the near future.

The main building of the Hongan cultural tourism center, with an investment of 200 million yuan ($ 32.66 million) in the project, was finished earlier this year, and the structures of its tourism museum, cultural center, library, science and technology museum, archive center, youth activity center and Hongan theater and customer service center have been designed.

In addition, construction of the Huangma Uprising Memorial Park and reconstruction of the Li Xiannian Memorial Park, which commemorates a former president of China, have started.

A so-called movie and TV city, with an investment of 35 million yuan ($5.72 million), has been finished, and a TV drama about Hongan is currently being filmed there. New public restrooms, parking lots and other facilities have also been completed in Hongan.
