Construction of a 5A-class tourist center in the 4A-class Yunwu Mountain scenic area in Huangpi, Hubei province, started on July 23.

Yunwu Mountain earned the highly coveted 4A-class Scenic Area Rating last November. The 7th scenic spot to have received the highest rating bestowed on a tourist attraction by China’s National Tourism Administration.

A person in charge of the scenic area said that the tourist center, with an investment of 120 million yuan ($ 19.56 million), was designed by a planning and design institute for national scenic spots, and construction will be finished by the end of the year.

The tourist center will feature a traditional architectural style, merging modern science and technology with ancient local culture.

In addition, a new electronic tourist guide system, security system and information system will be installed to improve the integrated functions of the scenic area.
