Advisors suggest ideas for Wuhan transformation

The 7th meeting of the Wuhan Municipal Government International Advisory Group has concluded successfully on Nov 29. The theme of the meeting was "Innovation and Transformation of City Development".

The advisors will make suggestions for the city’s development strategy. Currently they have suggested building Wuhan into a “smart” city with the help of high technology.

Nineteen consultants took part in the meeting and joined the round-table conference with Wuhan city officials.

Mayor Tang Liangzhi gave a welcome presentation at the opening ceremony introducing Wuhan and the investment environment of the city.

The meeting lasted one day at a Shangri-la Hotel and consultants participating in the conference toured the city in the next morning.

The advisors were mostly presidents or CEOs of World Top 500 Enterprises from the US, Canada, Britain, France, Holland, Sweden, Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other regions.

The Wuhan Municipal Government International Advisory Group was founded in 1988 and has 26 members. Among the 19 consultants participating in the meeting, 17 were present presidents or CEOs of World Top 500 Enterprises and another two were representatives sent by their CEOs.
