The gift money from a wedding was stolen in Wuhan, Hubei province on Nov 14, pulling the lovebirds out of the joy at their wedding ceremony, the Wuhan Evening News reported.

The newly married couple invited their friends and relatives to a restaurant reception and received about 100,000 yuan ($15,057) in gift money. But before they got it, the money was stolen.

"In a few minutes, it was gone," said a relative who was holding the purse.

According to the surveillance video, a man in his 20s wearing a Kappa jacket took the purse. An investigation is under way.
