Cargo boat capsizes at Three Gorges Dam, 5 missing

YICHANG, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) - Five people were missing after a cargo boat capsized when passing a ship lock at the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River in central China's Hubei Province Friday evening, according to local navigation authorities.

The boat loaded with more than 3,600 tonnes of ores capsized at about 9:35 p.m. after it hit a navigation wall. Eleven people fell into the water, and six of them were rescued, said the officials.

The rescuers are searching for the five missing.
