The second stage of Wuhan’s Light Rail One starts its test run at 12:00 am on Thursday, Wuhan Metro Group said Wednesday.

The 28.9-kilometer rail runs from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm and it takes 52 minutes to finish its 26 stations, covering the distance in half the time it takes by bus.

Ticket prices range from one and one-half yuan to five yuan based on mileage.

Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei province, completed the first stage of Light Rail One six years ago and is constructing metro lines to relieve the city’s congestion.
