Construction has been completed on the supporting facilities for Dulaying international land-sea logistics port in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The port will go into operation at the beginning of next year.

The port is located in the geometric center of Guanshanhu, Yunyan, Nanming, Baiyun and Wudang districts and shares the area of Dulaying Railway Station.

The first phase of construction to be completed this year will cover 910 mu (60.67 hectares) with an investment of 2.5 billion yuan ($380 million). Once construction is finished, the port will transport and store bulk cargos or cargos that needs to be kept dry and containers.

The second phase of construction should begin in 2022, and the completed facility will go into operation in 2025. It will focus on train logistics, import and export goods, multimodal transport, trading and processing.

The designed annual cargo throughput of the port's first phase is about 5 million metric tons, bringing an annual output value of 210 million yuan and employing more than 1,000 people.

The port will address the shortage of railway logistic infrastructure once put into use, and open up the transportation route to Beibu Gulf in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, which can reduce logistics costs and transport Guizhou's high-quality agricultural products to the world.

In the future, the port aims to build a comprehensive logistics network in the province based on multimodal transport and integrate the functions of warehousing, cold chain, e-commerce, supply chain finance, distribution processing, logistics information and urban delivery.
