Guizhou government's online service ability was ranked third nationwide and first in central and west China, according to a survey conducted by the e-government research center at the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC (Chinese Academy of Governance) on April 19.

Due to the rapid development of big data in Guizhou, the southwestern province's ranking just followed South China's Guangdong province, ast China's Jiangsu province, and equaled East China's Zhejiang province.

As of now, Guizhou has 3,602 departments, 1,525 towns, 17,167 villages, and 538,000 government affairs service items included in its provincial e-government network.

With the improvement of moving to a single network, 95.03 percent of provincial affairs, 78.1 percent of city-level affairs, and 69.3 percent of county-and district-level affairs can be dealt with online.

In addition, Guizhou placed first in China for its accuracy in dealing with online government affairs and eighth in terms of its ability to handle government affairs online for key cities across the country.
