A Guizhou delegation led by vice governor Li Zaiyong attended the First Digital China Summit on April 21-23.
Li gave a speech at a sub-forum on April 23, outlining the practice and achievements of Guizhou province in the big data field.
In recent years, Guizhou has vigorously implemented a digital-economy strategy to promote the deep integration of big data and the real economy. Big data technology has played an important role in upgrading industries such as manufacturing, logistics, agriculture and tourism.
Li also invited experts and business leaders to attend the Big Data Expo to be held on May 26-29 to exchange views about the development of the big data industry and its contribution to China's digital economy.
During the summit, the Guizhou delegation also met with Jack Ma, chairman of Alibaba Group and Pony Ma, chairman of Tencent Inc, to discuss big data development.
