The CPPCC Guizhou delegation, composed of 21 members, arrived in Beijing for the Third Session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, beginning on March 3.

2015 is important as it is the final year of the 12th Five-Year Plan and the proposal year for the 13th Five-Year Plan.

The Guizhou delegation has visited the communities before attending the conference to better understand the problems troubling people and propose solutions on their behalf.

Jiang Gangjie, a CPPCC Guizhou member and vice-director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture, came up with six proposals including infrastructure construction, railway construction, culture and differentiation of ethnic groups.

Jiang has carefully drafted the proposals."We attend the conference with responsibility and enthusiasm. We will discuss public concerns in the conference to work for the public and assume power for the people," said Jiang.

Issues concerning people's livelihood, like housing problems, were crucial parts of the proposal raised by Wang Shijie, also a CPPCC Guizhou member.

"Guizhou, a mountainous province, should invest at least twice as much as the plain regions in infrastructure construction," said Wang.
