The Health and Pharmaceutical Industry Promotion Event, which focuses on the promotion of the environment-friendly health industry and the exploration of new opportunities in Guizhou, one of the poorest provinces in China, was held in Beijing on March 2.

According to the event, more than 700 guests in various fields from home and abroad have been invited, including experts from institutes and enterprises and officials from the embassies of Colombia, Ireland and Israel.
During the event, projects characterized by key influences and examples were signed.
"We have 343 investment projects with total value of more than $43.2 billion; it is worth investing and paying attention," said Chen Min'er, governor of Guizhou province, at the event.
Guizhou possesses competitive advantages for the development of a strong health industry, such as a well-preserved ecological environment, abundant resources, well-developed industrial foundation and favorable policies. Chen added, "Big data is being adopted to build an Internet hospital as an active exploration."
With the change of society and environment, the causes of disease are varying and the changing disease spectrum and health issues make the health and pharmaceutical industry a sunrise industry, according to Chen Xinzi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
It is reported that enterprises including China Resources, China Poly Group and Sinopharm are investing in Guizhou in the health and pharmaceutical industry.
"The unique location advantages and abundant natural resources gives Guizhou huge potential for development," said Fu Yuning, chairman of China Resources, a Stated-owned company headquartered in Hong Kong.
"Pharmaceutical companies of China Resources has seen good cooperation with the Guizhou government. We are seeking opportunities to deepen the cooperation," said Fu.
Chairmen from China Poly Group, Sinopharm and Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings delivered a speech on the event and expressed their investment intentions.
