Li Jinhua, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, attended the 2012 Eco-Forum Global, Guiyan, Thursday in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

He met with Zhao Kezhi, Party secretary and governor of Guizhou, and Li Jun, Party secretary of Guiyang in the provincial capital.

Li said the forum is expected to promote the sustainable and harmonious development of economy and society in Guizhou, as well as the country's national ecological civilization construction.

The CPPCC will continue to support Guizhou in its economic and social development, and to participate in this global eco-forum as part of the efforts to promote ecological civilization in the country.

Zhao said his province attached great importance to ecological civilization, seeking to speed up development in the process of shifting growth mode, and develop the economy while beefing up the protection of the environment.

Guizhou will make best use of the suggestions by the experts during the forum to enhance ecological development, he said.
