In the mid of August, 2015, the commissioning test of No. 1 and No. 2 Unit in Houay Lamphan Gnai Hydropower Station in Laos was successful for the first trial, meaning two units operating stably and various testing data looking good.
On August 24, Lao Electric Power Department and Electric Power Corporation sent a joint letter of thanks to CGGC for its endeavor in the construction of Houay Lamphan Gnai Hydropower Station where its dedication, outstanding operation and high-quality products was proved. The completion and commissioning of this project would greatly improve power utilization in some regions of Laos by guaranteeing wide range of power supply, in significance to local economic and social development.
The letter of thanks emphasizes that, according to the commissioning test record of the units, installation and operation of the units of Houay Lamphan Gnai Hydropower Station is undoubtedly the best among similar stations in Laos. The filling quality of dam, improvement of off-site road and reinforcement of pressure steel pipe on exposed pipeline section is also highly appreciated. In this letter, it is hoped that the Laos Electric Power Company and CGGC will cooperate sincerely, benefit each other and develop jointly so as to carry forward splendid achievements brought by Houay Lamphan Gnai Hydropower Station.
