China’s VNR Report on implementation of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development published

China’s VNR (Voluntary National Review) Report on Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was published during the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development on July 14. The Center for International Knowledge on Development took part in the drafting process of the report under the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The 2030 agenda, passed by 193 members of the UN in 2015, puts out 17 sustainable development goals to be achieved by 2030. The UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is an important platform for discussing the follow-up and evaluation of these goals. All member states make statements voluntarily about the work progress of their own country at the forum. Since 2016, 205 such statements have been made by 168 countries.
