Research Report, No.281, 2020 (Total 6025) 2020-11-27

Abstract: At present, the water-saving apparatuses such as shower, water nozzle and toilet have been developed rapidly in China, whereas the comfortability, durability, convenience, hygiene conditions and water-saving requirements are not taken into an overall consideration. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to refer to successful practices of foreign countries for improvement. For the shower, both the water-saving and users’ comfort issues should be taken into account, and the quality of multi-conversion-mode accessories needs to be improved. For the intelligent toilet, it is suggested to standardize and unify the identification and standards, make clear the operation instructions of the product, simplify the function moderately, and make it more accessible to the people. For public toilets, it is proper to promote the non-contact water supply appliances, take measures to make public toilets be equipped with new toilet seats and automatic changing covers, and enhance the quality control of water-saving appliances in the market. For the leakage prevention of water-saving appliances, we need to control the quality of spare parts at source, reduce leakage cases caused by improper installation, and list the life test of water-saving appliances as a mandatory test item.
