Research Report, No.189, 2020 (Total 5933) 2020-7-22

Abstract: Since the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), some Chinese leading enterprises have taken an active part in constructing the Belt and Road production capacity cooperation network and achieved significant results and gained valuable experience. As BRI enters a new stage, relevant leading enterprises are facing some problems in forging the production capacity cooperation network. For example, the investment environment in countries along BR routes is complex and unstable, the business environment is generally backward, and the production capacity cooperation network is hard to be put in place. In order to better support leading enterprises in forging the production capacity cooperation network, we need to improve the international coordination mechanism to support leading enterprises in forging the production capacity cooperation network, focus on supporting leading enterprises in the production capacity cooperation network and core enterprises in the supply chain, give full play to the coordinating role of industry associations and chambers of commerce, guide enterprises to conduct compliant operation and standardized competition, and lead the construction of a multi-tiered mechanism for the operation of the production capacity cooperation network so as to propel the joint development of pertinent entities.
