Abstract: Promoting a reasonable and orderly pattern of income distribution through the reform of income distribution system is an important content of building the fair and sustainable social policy system. In recent years, the government has attached great importance to the issue of income distribution gap, advanced the reform of the income distribution system, and implemented a series of specific measures to narrow the income gap, thus China’s income distribution relation has been improved to some extent. However, there are still many problems in existence, which include the big income gap, unshaped income distribution pattern, increasing class solidifying risk, unreasonable allocation of production factors and low percentage of work income. The causes of these problems are various. There are both reasonable and unreasonable factors, and they should be treated differently. In particular, the income gap caused by unreasonable factors should be given priority. In the future, we should attach great importance to the impact of income distribution on economic and social development, grasp the key issues and effectively narrow the income gap.
