Suggestions regarding the revision of "law on protection of wildlife" and related regulations

Abstract:

At present, the improper treatment of wildlife has become rather common in China which is not only harmful for ecological balance, but will also cause some hidden trouble for people's health and this has smeared China's image in the international arena. The reason for what has happened is that the "Law on Protection of Wildlife" and related regulations formulated ten years ago are a bit out of place and cannot meet the demand for the protection of wildlife. It is thus suggested that the "Law on Protection of Wildlife" be revised, the protected wildlife under the law redefined so as to close certain loopholes in the law and the breaching acts against law punished severely in compliance with relevant international law. Only by so doing can the cause for protection of wildlife in China become compatible with the changing situation.
