The China Development Forum 2014, themed "China: To Comprehensively Deepen Reform," took place at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing from March 22-24.

The forum dwells on more than a dozen topics in economic and social development as well as reform and opening-up, including new-type urbanization, coordinating urban and rural development, financial and taxation reform, building a fair and sustainable social security system, and new economic systems.

Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech, with around 400 renowned scholars and heads of international organizations and multinational corporations taking part.

The China Development Forum, which was initiated in 2000 by the Development Research Center of the State Council, serves as a platform for business and academic leaders to interact with China's top policy makers.
