Pilot Project of Major Economic and Technological IP Appraisal Activities kicks off

On August 19th, the Pilot Project Opening Conference of Major Economic and Technological IP Appraisal Activities was held in Beijing. He Hua, Deputy Director of SIPO attended the conference and praised it as a useful attempt in applying IPR information to serve the economic and technological development directly.

Mr. He stressed that IP appraisal work satisfies the urgent need of accelerating the transformation of economic development and optimizing and upgrading of industrial structure in China. Against the international background of increasingly fierce competition over IPR, the introduction of IP appraisal work to major economic and technological activities will improve the quality of decision making, optimize management efficiency, enhance the role of innovation, and eventually guide enterprises realize their development goals. During the conference, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Hubei, Guangdong and Chongqing Municipality all signed a cooperation agreement with SIPO as the pilots of the project.
