State Council cancels approval items

The State Council on Feb 19 abolished the second batch of 152 administrative approval items that the central authority had designated to local governments.

The cancelled items include foreign investment in the advertising industry, foreigners’ entry into Chinese natural reserves and the registration of outdoor advertisements.

So far, all items that require administrative approval in the form of regulations that were open to citizens, legal persons and social organizations have been eliminated.

The State Council urged related departments to follow up in detail in the wake of the cancellation and strengthen supervision on issues involving production safety and public security.
