In Weihai, Shandong province, Dishang Group is transforming China's professional workwear market by focusing on high-tech, high-performance gear tailored to specific needs. Moving beyond traditional apparel, the Weihai-based company has established itself in a niche that emphasizes functionality, safety, and durability — a critical market amid global consumer shifts and industrial upgrades.

Embracing digital transformation, Dishang was an early adopter of AI-assisted design and 3D modeling, reducing sample production time from one month to under a week. The company now offers a comprehensive portfolio across eight workwear categories, including municipal sanitation uniforms, port attire, school uniforms, academic gowns, and medical apparel. Its products have even been displayed at major national events, such as the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Dishang's commitment to innovation has paid off. The company ranks among the top five in China's workwear market, with annual revenue reaching 1.5 billion yuan ($210.4 million). As a leading enterprise in Shandong's textile and apparel sector, it drives high-quality growth across the industry, supporting 723 upstream and downstream partners, including 125 based in Weihai.

The company has also built China's first end-to-end supply chain platform for textiles and apparel, connecting creative design, material sourcing, and garment R&D. This integrated platform increases efficiency across the supply chain and accelerates the digital transformation of the traditional textile industry.

By combining advanced technology, high-quality products, and a forward-thinking supply chain strategy, Dishang Group is setting a new standard in professional workwear while solidifying Weihai's position as a hub for innovation in China's textile industry. (Edited by Hu Kaili)
