Weihai workwear brand unveils high-tech, sustainable collection in Beijing

Weihai-based Dishang Group is redefining professional apparel with its workwear brand, DSSYON, which presented its latest collection at the 2025 China Fashion Week Autumn on Sept 11. Under the theme "Passion Continuum", the show combined technology, fashion, and sustainability, offering a fresh perspective on modern workwear.

The collection, which took months to develop, featured over 100 original designs suited to diverse work environments. It was divided into four sections, with chapters for feelings, seasons, and innovation. The performance underscored DSSYON's vision of integrating technology, humanity, and green development into the future of professional attire.

Wang Shuai, the brand's design director, said the core philosophy behind the collection was to transform everyday uniforms into designs that embody resilience, professionalism, and the extraordinary spirit found in ordinary work. The design team conducted in-depth research into frontline working conditions to ensure each piece was both functional and culturally expressive.

Sustainability was a key element. A trend series within the collection repurposed old workwear through creative design, transforming it into stylish, cross-disciplinary pieces. According to Wang Yuanyuan, a professor at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, this approach not only advances sustainable fashion but also pays tribute to the perseverance of workers.

For Zhu Hongtao, general manager of Dishang Group, the runway appearance is part of a longer journey. "We hope to make China Fashion Week a regular stage for Dishang, where international, fashionable, and tech-driven concepts can take shape. At the same time, we are exploring advanced materials and technologies to create safer and more practical work environments," Zhu said.
