Innovative social worker exchange activities have been introduced in Pengquan subdistrict in Laiwu district, Jinan, East China's Shandong province, injecting new vitality into grassroots governance.
The inaugural event was recently held, with three speakers sharing effective methods to resolve conflicts between residents and property management. Following that, social workers in attendance engaged in discussions on topics such as pairing up to assist special elderly individuals and organizing seminars on preventing drowning and bullying among youth, exchanging their experiences and practices.
This activity is held every Monday afternoon for approximately 45 minutes, with social workers taking turns as speakers and sharing their experiences.
"In the future, we will transform the innovative ideas and excellent experiences emerging from these exchange activities into tangible new methods for grassroot governance, promoting the development of grassroot governance innovation models with local characteristics that are replicable and scalable," said Wang Xiaoyang, deputy director of the Office of Livelihood Affairs in Pengquan subdistrict.
