In the midst of midsummer abundance, a significant event took place at the exhibition hall of the Juye County Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Shandong. International education experts from countries like the UK, Pakistan, Japan, and Russia admired a 5-meter high, 16-meter wide peony painting scroll titled "Splendid China".

"The continuous rejuvenation of Chinese and Japanese civilizations through mutual inspiration is evident today. The fusion of intangible cultural heritage and cultural innovation opens doors for broader educational cooperation between our nations," said the head of admissions at Okayama Shoka University, Japan.

During the event, renowned peony painting artist Wang Ruiying demonstrated the intricate creation process, showcasing the depth of Chinese traditional culture to the foreign guests.

Under the theme "Civilization dialogue, educational coexistence", international scholars and experts delivered speeches on international education trends and cultural diversity. They highlighted the educational systems of the United States, Russia, Japan, and Pakistan, and engaged in interactive discussions.

Cultural exchanges included classics like the Chinese novels "Journey to the West" and "Water Margin", intricate zodiac paper-cutting exhibits, and the craftsmanship of Tianzhuang town's willow weaving, offering hands-on experiences of China's traditional artisanal skills.

In recent years, Juye county in Heze has strengthened cultural education strategies, fostering diverse dialogue to showcase educational insights from various civilizations and promote innovative transformations in Chinese traditional culture. This initiative revitalizes cultural education and sets the stage for a new chapter in cultural exchange and storytelling from China on the global stage. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
