The annual conference on the development of the lingzhi (reishi mushrooms) industry was held in Guanxian county, Shandong, from June 3 to 5. More than 110 renowned experts, scholars, and representatives from enterprises in the national lingzhi industry were in attendance.

The conference featured a series of activities including industry presentations, forum discussions, and site visits, aiming to bring together various stakeholders to analyze the current status and issues of the industry, explore development potentials, and enhance the overall industry standards.

At the conference, the "Chinese Lingzhi Industry Integrity Pact" was launched, proposing industry integrity guidelines in areas such as operations, cultivation, production, marketing, and distribution, with the aim of maintaining market order and driving healthy and sustainable industry growth.

Since the 1980s, Guanxian county has been cultivating lingzhi, with over 10,000 mu (666.67 hectares) of lingzhi plantations producing more than 15,000 metric tons of fruiting bodies and spore powder annually, along with over 800,000 potted plants. The county leads the nation in lingzhi production volume, trade volume, and potted plant sales, becoming the largest lingzhi cultivation and trading hub in China.

In recent years, Guanxian county has prioritized the lingzhi industry as a key and distinctive industry for promoting economic development and enriching the local population. The county aims to establish itself as a leading lingzhi hub, driving high-quality development in the Chinese lingzhi industry with a focus on variety improvement, quality enhancement, and brand building. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
