In celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival, a special cultural event was held on May 31 in Dawangzhuang town, Laiwu district, Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

The event featured family reading sessions, a Yellow River market, and interactive traditional craft activities, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for families and the community.

As part of the event, local residents made zongzi (sticky rice with various fillings wrapped in leaves). To further engage participants in traditional crafts, the event also featured a traditional tie-dyeing experience, allowing people to appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

A Yellow River Fair was also held, showcasing a vibrant mix of cultural crafts, handmade goods, and local agricultural products for Dragon Boat Festival. Locals actively promoted their offerings, attracting many visitors. Strong sales during the event helped open new income opportunities for local farmers.

In addition to emphasizing community participation and public benefit, the event highlights diverse, creative, and highly interactive activities, allowing local residents to enjoy the richness of life with cultural depth, ecological warmth, and meaningful engagement.

The district will continue to host a series of events, continuously innovating and enriching their content while enhancing service quality. By focusing on the cultural needs of rural communities, it aims to build a comprehensive platform that combines folk experiences, cultural exhibitions, and interactive exchanges, thereby steadily improving quality of life for residents.
