Vegetables thrive in e-commerce boom in Shandong county
Huafeng town in Ningyang county, Tai'an, Shandong province, is driving rural vitalization through the development of agricultural e-commerce and talent cultivation.
In the town's Zhangjiazhai village, the Ronghua Family Farming Cooperative recently experienced a bountiful kale harvest. Zhang Jin, the head of the cooperative, used live streaming to bring the fresh vegetables to a wider market.
"We livestream on platforms like TikTok and Kwai, allowing consumers to see firsthand how fresh and reliable our kale is," said Zhang.
In his live stream, the lush and tender kale attracted a large number of online followers, leading to a flurry of orders.
At the same time, Wu Hongzhen, Party secretary of Beigucheng village in Huafeng town, has also achieved outstanding results in the field of e-commerce. He won second place in the talent category at the first "Remarkable Shandong" e-commerce live streaming competition.
Wu also participated in the establishment of a live streaming team composed of village Party secretaries. "I hope to use live streaming to promote the excellent products from my hometown to the entire country and the world," he stated. (Edited by Li Weiwei)
