Ningyang county, Shandong province is developing a community medical and elderly care service system to provide high-quality healthcare and elderly care services for the elderly right at their doorstep.

To achieve this, the county has upgraded all community health service stations. They have not only introduced advanced medical equipment but also set up 41 medical consultation stations, with family doctors scheduled to offer regular consultations. Coupled with two meticulously crafted medical and elderly care service centers, Ningyang's "15-minute community medical and elderly care service circle" is gradually taking shape.

Community workers in the county regularly visit residents, especially elderly individuals living alone and those with disabilities. To date, they have visited 20,000 elderly individuals and established health records for each person.

Ningyang has also established 28 professional family doctor teams to provide free health check-ups, regular follow-ups, medical visits, and other services for elderly residents.

In addition to medical services, every community in Ningyang is establishing elderly care canteens. These canteens offer a variety of high-quality and affordable dishes and provide meal delivery and meal assistance services for elderly people with mobility issues.

"We have made detailed arrangements in all aspects of medical care, food, accommodation, and transportation for the elderly. By integrating social elderly care and medical service resources and promoting cooperation among service institutions, we strive to provide more intimate services for the elderly right at their doorsteps," said a community governance official.
