In order to provide comprehensive support for local farmers during the spring planting season, Ningyang county in Tai'an, Shandong province, has taken various measures related to technical consultation and electricity supply.

The local government has hired agricultural experts and experienced farmers to inspect wheat seedlings, soil moisture, and field pests in greenhouses and fields, providing solutions to planting challenges faced by the community.

To address the issue of high electricity demand, the county's agricultural and rural affairs bureau and water resources bureau have collaborated with the local power supply company to step up inspections of relevant power lines and equipment, proactively eliminating safety hazards. So far, inspections have been carried out on more than 20,000 wells throughout the county.

Additionally, safety precautions for electricity use during spring farming have been disseminated among households. Priority is given to ensuring electrical supply for farming and irrigation activities.

"The professionals just inspected my well — they said the power supply is sufficient and the voltage is stable. The inspection proved to be time-saving, labor-saving, and reassuring," said Wang Yongsheng, a farmer from Ningyang's Jingma village.

"Next, we will focus on key farming periods, steadily increase the area of grain planting, and enhance grain production capacity," a representative from the agricultural and rural affairs bureau commented. (Edited by Li Weiwei)
