A cultural and trade delegation from Heze in Shandong, China, held cultural promotion activities in Los Angeles and New York in the United States, as well as in Mexico City from Dec 14 to 22. The delegation showcased the county's traditional Chinese Gongbi peony paintings, which left a lasting impression on the public in these cities.

The exquisite peony paintings from Juye were prominently displayed at diplomatic events at the Chinese consulates general in Los Angeles and New York. The beautiful peony artworks received high praise, with the head of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce remarking, "These blooming peonies capture the essence of Eastern aesthetics."

Members of the Shandong Fellowship Association of Southern California expressed their nostalgia, saying, "Seeing these hometown peonies bloom on paper makes us feel like we can smell the flowers in the old courtyard."

The painting titled Huakai Shengshi symbolizes cultural heritage through the twisted roots of peonies, eliciting a strong emotional response.

During a cultural exchange event at the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, the head of the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade, Investment, and Technology was captivated by the meticulous Gongbi peony paintings from Juye, stating, "The Chinese artists' contemplation of natural life resonates beautifully with the artistic pursuits of the Mexican mural movement."

"This visit marks a significant transition from cultural exhibition to industrial integration. We are not only sharing the story of peonies with the world but also allowing people in the US and Mexico to experience the profound allure of Juye's meticulous Gongbi peony paintings," said Zhang Wenting, deputy county mayor of Juye. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
