In the greenhouses of a cherry planting professional cooperative in Qianlilou village, Nanluji town, Shandong's Chengwu, cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Looking around, clusters of pure white cherry blossoms are blooming, adorning the branches.
Currently, it is the peak flowering period of cherry trees, and also a critical period for management. The success of pollination directly affects this year's cherry yield and quality. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, farmers stay busy with pollination and flower thinning, laying the foundation for a bountiful harvest of cherries this year.
The cherry planting professional cooperative has constructed high-standard greenhouse facilities using support funds. The cherry varieties include Samituo, Meizao, Daihong, and Eba, ripening gradually from early April lasting up to three months.
Chengwu county has been helping optimize and upgrade the agricultural industry structure, fostering the cultivation of distinctive crops, and leveraging industrial revitalization to propel rural development. This concerted effort aims to continually explore new avenues for boosting farmers' income. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
