Gaomi's economy sees strong start in 2025

Feb 5 marked the first day of work after the Spring Festival holiday in Gaomi city, where projects and factories resumed production at a rapid pace. At Sunvim Group's towel factory, machines hummed, and employees were busy with orders. Factory manager Luo Xiang said that orders are already filled through April.

At Gaomi Zhongyide Machinery Manufacturing Co, production lines were in full swing, with workers showing great enthusiasm and dedication to meeting demand. Meanwhile, Shandong Zepu Medical Technology Co secured numerous international orders during a medical equipment exhibition in Dubai, with manufacturing director Ju Wei stating that the company's order schedule is already fully booked for the first quarter.

The local government has provided strong support for businesses. On Feb 4, Gaomi hosted a New Year's job fair, with nearly 50 companies offering over 1,000 jobs, attracting strong interest. The live stream of the fair was viewed by 60,000 people.

To ensure smooth operations, the Gaomi Economic Development Zone set up a task force to assist with equipment checks, staff recruitment, and safety measures. As a result, 475 large-scale companies in the city have successfully resumed operations, setting a strong foundation for the year ahead. (Edited by Lin Li)
