In Chayekou town, Laiwu district, Jinan, Shandong province, the local community is making use of wall paintings on residential buildings to promote traditional culture and instill patriotism.
Elaborate and vivid wall paintings characterized by red culture are displayed along a 200-meter-long cultural corridor, showcasing local revolutionary relics and touching stories.
According to Huang Feifei, the publicity officer of Chayekou town, the town is steeped in revolutionary history and boasts an abundance of red cultural offerings. It has produced heroic figures like Li Nianlin, Liu Junlin, and Liu Fuying and houses 24 red cultural heritage sites, including the provincial patriotic education base Wang Yang Terrace.
"These wall paintings not only beautify the rural living environment but also provide a cultural space for the public to experience red culture," Huang added. (Edited by Li Weiwei)
