At Jingcheng Kindergarten, Li Xinglian, a representative of local ICH, led a lively paper-cutting class for children. Under her guidance, the young participants created paper-cuttings symbolizing good fortune, fostering their creativity and sparking an interest in traditional crafts.
In the Shungeng Road community, a craftsmanship workshop focusing on crochet and embroidery attracted many participants. The workshop provided a chance to learn traditional techniques while enhancing community spirit and neighborly bonds.
The Lishan Mingjun community, meanwhile, hosted a porcelain carving session where participants had the opportunity to try their hand at the ancient craft. This hands-on activity offered deeper insights into the historical art form, helping preserve its legacy.
Other events, like the "Intangible Heritage Shines" paper-cutting celebration in Dianliu Xincun sub-district and the Chinese knot workshop in Jixiangyuan community, continued the theme of using traditional crafts to celebrate the New Year. Additionally, the Xinggang Yuecheng community held an immersive folk cultural experience featuring activities such as calligraphy, paper-cutting, and pottery.
