Humin enhances rural healthcare
The Hegouchen Health Clinic in Huji town, Huimin county, Binzhou city, Shandong province, demonstrates the county's commitment to improving rural healthcare. Recently renovated, the clinic features modern equipment, clean facilities, and a well-stocked pharmacy. It offers diagnostic rooms and essential services, enabling villagers to access prescriptions for chronic diseases and routine tests without leaving their community.
This transformation is part of a broader initiative under Huimin county's three-year action plan to improve rural healthcare services. The plan ensures that village clinics are equipped with the proper infrastructure, staff, medicines, and management systems, while also enhancing their diagnostic and service capabilities.
The clinic has improved both the physical infrastructure and the professional skills of rural doctors. Through mentorship and clinical training, which includes practical exercises and case studies, doctors are continuously sharpening their skills. The center is also promoting the "10,000 Medical Workers into Rural Areas" program, providing family medical services to over 30,000 residents across 56 villages.
Currently, the clinic operates 12 standardized clinics with 23 doctors, offering more than 200 types of medicines, ensuring that villagers receive convenient, high-quality healthcare services right at their doorstep. (Edited by Lin Li)
