In recent years, Fengcheng sub-district in Jinan's Laiwu, Shandong province, has maintained a careful focus on the needs of workers such as food delivery riders, couriers, and ride-hailing drivers, constructing four rest stations within the jurisdiction to support them. Since the beginning of this year, these stations have collectively assisted over 800 individuals.
Located in Fengcheng sub-district, the Fangxinyuan neighborhood has established a station tailored to the needs of such workers. Equipped with seating, hot water dispensers, newspaper racks, air pumps, food provisions, and more, it offers a range of considerate services including free charging, internet access, and a first aid kit. Despite its small size, this station emanates a strong sense of warmth.
"The neighborhood has been really thoughtful. The station here is very convenient for us drivers, providing a place for nearby colleagues to rest and have a meal," said a food delivery worker.
Furthermore, Fengcheng sub-district actively harnesses the flexible nature of drivers, guiding them to engage in volunteer services and charitable activities to stimulate their enthusiasm and engagement in grassroots governance. (Edited by Li Weiwei)
