Shandong's Juye drives high-quality development with full force

Within the New Generation Information Technology Industrial Park in Juye county, Shandong province, project staff from Shenbo Intelligent Technology demonstrated the smart light source developed and produced by the project on Nov 28. This product integrates multiple LED chips on the same substrate, achieving high-density arrangement of the light source, providing a more concentrated and uniform light distribution, and eliminating common hot spots and dark areas found in other light sources.
In recent years, Juye county in Shandong has focused on cultivating and developing new quality productive forces. It has established five leading industries and 10 key industrial value chains, and put great effort into attracting high-quality projects.
Offshore investment promotion centers have been established in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wuxi, and Dongguan, appointing 15 investment promotion ambassadors to extend their reach, reduce costs, and increase success rates.
In 2024, a total of 83 projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.73 million) were signed, with 65 of those being implemented and six exceeding 1 billion yuan. This was a 9.4 percent year-on-year increase in the value added of large-scale industries in the first three quarters.
Juye county also promotes industrial transformation, which has benefitted the integrated development of enterprises, industrial value chains, and industrial clusters. The refined chemical industry cluster was selected as one of the top 10 industrial clusters in the province, and Huaxia National Pharmaceutical Group was selected as a leading enterprise in the top 10 industrial clusters in the province.
Over the past three years, Juye county has seen 243 projects worth over 100 million yuan being implemented, with 162 put into operation, and totaling a planned investment of 80 billion yuan. The number of industrial enterprises above a designated scale has increased from 196 in 2022 to the current 248, according to official data. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
