Smart fitness, endless fun!

Gaomi city in Weifang, Shandong province has recently installed over 20 solar-powered, smart fitness facilities in its cultural and sports park, giving residents stats about their exercise and personalized fitness plans.

In recent years, Gaomi has transformed idle urban and rural spaces into greenways, sports parks, and fitness trails, creating a "15-minute fitness circle" that spans the entire city and encourages a fitness culture.

This year, the city organized over 100 activities, including the Village Basketball Association League and fitness games, which attracted many participants and drove over 2 million yuan ($275,200) in sales.

With nearly 1,000 courts, trails, 35 parks, 10 pocket parks, and free or low-cost community fitness squares, Gaomi provides accessible and diverse fitness options for all. (Edited by Lin Li)
