Shandong's county propels businesses towards intelligent transformation

Dong'e county in Shandong's Liaocheng is committed to transforming and upgrading traditional industries and nurturing new productive capacities to drive the intelligent development of enterprises.

In the smart facilities of Dong'e Ejiao Co Ltd, the production data collection rate has reached 95 percent, and the level of production automation exceeds 90 percent, creating a new model of interconnected and fully coordinated intelligent factory.

Many firms are breaking international technology monopolies such as Shandong Dong'e Steel Ball Group's precision bearing steel ball project that has overcome technical bottlenecks in the intelligent heat treatment and surface strengthening of large-diameter steel balls. Dong'e Blue Sky and Seven Color Building Materials Co Ltd has implemented a model integrating intelligent manufacturing with Internet service platforms, becoming a production base for the smart manufacturing of aluminum composite material panels in China.

Dong'e is continuously enhancing the level of industrial modernization, injecting new momentum into high-quality development. Focusing on it four leading industries (biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment manufacturing, and new building materials), Ejiao county is implementing a backbone enterprise cultivation project to accelerate industry clustering, brand promotion, and industry standardization.

New highs have been reached this year as the county has seen the addition of 43 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises and 22 specialized and new enterprises, and has signed 36 collaboration agreements with universities and research institutes. (Edited by Li Weiwei)
