2024 Chinese Middle School Wushu League held in Linqing city
From Nov 17 to 20, the 2024 Chinese Middle School Wushu League was held in Linqing city, Liaocheng. Organized by the China School Sports Federation, the event featured regional specialties like Linqing Elbow Boxing and Linqing Tantui for the first time.

The league was hosted by the Linqing Municipal Government and its education and sports bureau, with support from institutions such as Qilu Normal University and its affiliated schools. A total of 62 teams from across the country participated, involving 745 people, 580 of whom were athletes. The competition was divided into primary, middle, and high school categories, with events encompassing various styles like Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan, and weapon disciplines such as broadsword, straight sword, staff, and spear.
In addition to the competition, the league served as a platform for cultural and athletic exchange among young people, igniting greater enthusiasm for Wushu and encouraging more people to practice it. By promoting skill-sharing and collaboration, the event laid a strong foundation for the sustainable development of Wushu as both a sport and a treasured cultural heritage.
