A ceremony was recently held in Weihai, Shandong province, to mark the establishment of China's first commercial aerospace industry alliance.
The alliance, with its charter approved and a plaque unveiled during the ceremony, officially commenced operations.
The alliance is designed to address the evolving needs of the commercial aerospace industry. It will focus on key areas such as satellite manufacturing, data application, payload development, and network construction, in order to facilitate close collaboration among industry, academia, research institutions, and end-users. This alliance aims to serve as a collaborative platform for domestic and international aerospace enterprises.
By fostering resource sharing and complementing each other's strengths, the alliance will promote the research and application of aerospace technology, accelerating the commercialization of the aerospace industry.
Established in Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park, this new alliance is expected to accelerate the park's efforts in building a future industrial cluster focused on commercial aerospace and low-altitude economy, thereby boosting the region's economy.
