Shi Wanzhao, a recognized inheritor of Shuozhixiang paper-cutting art, a provincial intangible cultural heritage item of Shandong province, recently hosted an engaging online session with students and faculty from the Confucius Institute at the University of Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Malaysia.
During the virtual class, Shi demonstrated essential techniques and shared practical tips for creating intricate paper-cutting designs. She emphasized the role of creativity in expanding the range and forms of one's artwork, encouraging students to push the boundaries of traditional craft.
