Villagers in Shandong redeem points for merchandise
Residents of the 13 communities of Lanling town in Lanling county, Linyi, Shandong province, have been accumulating points through voluntary engagements such as policy advocacy, environmental enhancements, and rural beautification. These accrued points can be exchanged for goods at designated supermarkets within the communities.
"We earn points by participating in volunteer service activities, which can be conveniently redeemed for goods at supermarkets, providing tangible benefits to the local populace," said one village volunteer.
The initiative encourages local residents to get involved in community activities, fostering an appreciation for a better quality of life and nurturing personal growth.
Moving forward, Lanling town will remain committed to refining the points redemption system and encouraging more villagers to partake in these initiatives. This endeavor aims to inspire active engagement in the cultivation of rural civility and low-level governance. (Edited by Du Xiaping)
