Lixia hosts Jinan's 'City of Springs' World Heritage Exhibition

On Nov 5, the Exhibition on Achievements in the "Jinan: City of Springs Cultural Landscape" World Heritage Application began at the Jinan Ancient City Exhibition Center in Lixia district. Running through Nov 12, the event offers a journey into Jinan's renowned springs, its ancient history, and the cultural value of the "Jinan Springs and City Cultural Landscape".

Jinan's pursuit of UNESCO World Heritage recognition began in 2006, with a major milestone reached in 2019 when its cultural landscape was added to China's Tentative List for World Heritage. As a National Historic and Cultural City, Jinan has a civilization that spans 4,600 years along with a 2,700-year history.
