The first freight train from the newly opened Dezhou International Land Port departed on Aug 9, carrying over 20 containers of goods destined for countries such as Japan, South Korea, and India. The train reached Qingdao Port within eight hours. The cargo includes a variety of products from Dezhou and surrounding areas, such as food, hardware, and textiles.
The Dezhou International Land Port, located in Pingyuan county, Dezhou, Shandong province, is a comprehensive logistics hub equipped with customs clearance facilities, coal handling areas, and package handling zones. The port has an annual cargo throughput capacity of over 10 million metric tons.
With the opening of the customs supervision facility, the inland port now has true port functionality. Exports can enjoy one-stop services in Pingyuan, including customs declaration, inspection, booking, storage, transportation, packaging, distribution and information transmission.
