Community welcomes heating warmth

Residents of Yuanxinyuan community in Jianglou town, Huimin county, Binzhou city, Shandong, are feeling optimistic as their heating system gets its long-awaited upgrades.

Mr. Lu, a local resident, expressed his relief as workers installed new seamless insulation pipes, which address the longstanding issues of insufficient winter heating.

Since August, the town has taken action to improve heating infrastructure, conducting meetings to gather resident feedback and crafting a comprehensive renovation plan.

"We've invested around 3.8 million yuan ($534,660) in the project, which includes two distributed heat sources, 20 heating units, and 3,000 meters of new piping," said Li Xiaotao, Party secretary of Jianglou town. The project, set to be completed by mid-November, will ensure warmth for 60,000 square meters of residential space.

The town has made strides in other areas, including over 30 kilometers of high-standard roads, 250,000 yuan in scholarships, over 100 cultural performances, and improvements of 13 village clinics. "Our goal is to transform essential needs into tangible benefits, bringing real happiness to our residents," Li added. (Edited by Lin Li)
