The public security bureau in Shandong's Chengwu has been continuously conducting anti-economic crime and elderly fraud prevention campaigns in various forms, such as home visits, setting up publicity spots, and giving lectures.
During the activities, the police officers used simple and understandable language to explain to the elderly common financial crimes such as illegal fundraising, anti-smuggling, and telecom fraud.
The police also explained the relevant legal, economic and financial concepts related to economically-motivated crimes to the elderly through real case analyses and interpretations of laws and regulations, reminding them to choose standardized investment and financial channels and products, safeguard their wealth, and avoid economic losses.
The campaign has enhanced the ability of the elderly to safeguard against economic crimes, enabling them to be more vigilant when faced with economic fraud and protect their retirement funds. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
